The Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN), part of Ontario Health, is responsible for the coordination of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in Ontario. Our mandate includes increasing public awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation, education of health care professionals, and ensuring a safe and effective donation and transplant system in Ontario. This position shall be responsible for providing professional services in a manner that is consistent with the mission and values of TGLN. The Tissue Recovery Coordinator is passionate about tissue and organ donation and is dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes in the donation process through effective collaboration with the health care team. The Tissue Recovery Coordinator role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in the surgical recovery phase of the tissue donation process. This position is based out of Sudbury and involves significant travel around the Sudbury region and as required anywhere in the province for the surgical recovery of human eyes. The Tissue Recovery Coordinator will typically be scheduled for 12-hour on-call shifts, which are days and nights. You will be given additional compensation when you are dispatched to a case.
