Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or 4 years of machine operator/tire technician experience required
English fluency (read, write, speak)
A minimum of 6-months forklift experience required
Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
Read and understand units of measure
Ability to perform basic math functions
Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role

Nice To Haves

Past tire technician experience operating equipment of similar complexity preferred
Front end loader experience preferred
Valid driver’s license preferred (must have in order to jockey trailers)

Responsibilities

Operate assigned production machinery line systems with minimal supervision
Conduct visual inspections of machinery and perform general preventive maintenance
Setup, operate, troubleshoot, adjust settings and maintain line machinery processes using control panels and mechanical practices
Operations include: Initial inspection, Repair, Regroove, Final inspection, Pressure test, Paint
Operate forklift to move and transport raw material
Organize work area on a continual basis in order to maintain a safe, efficient, productive and clean work environment by using air wands, vacuums, brooms and shovels
Ensure work area is blown down and cleared
Responsible for communicating changes in production and/or quality of product to shift/department Lead person
Submit work orders to supervisor; demonstrate ability to explain maintenance issues and troubleshoot general mechanical issues if Supervisor or Lead is unavailable
Cross train into other job functions providing assistance to other departments as necessary.
