The Tire Technician is responsible for mounting, dismounting and balancing heavy service truck tires, along with passenger and light truck tires on emergency road service calls and on customer fleet parking lots. Employees in this position will primarily be working outdoors and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction. This role involves mounting and dismounting new/used and retreaded tires on heavy service equipment, passenger trucks and light duty trucks, balancing tires utilizing appropriate equipment, and performing various types of tire repairs. The technician is also responsible for daily safety pre-trip inspections on the service truck, keeping the service truck and service area clean to maintain a safe work environment, and following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL. Communication with the service manager or store manager regarding safety concerns, company vehicle issues, and customer problems is essential. The position requires understanding customer base and profiles, as well as tire design and tread patterns. It also requires availability 24 hours/day during scheduled on-call shifts and becoming TIA Certified, with training provided by Parrish Tire Company if not already obtained.
