Tire Technician Part Time $1000 Sign on Bonus
About The Position
BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a part-time Tire Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing tire installations and repairs, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. The position emphasizes teamwork, member service, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. Team members are expected to carry out assigned functions, support club policies, act with honesty and integrity, and embrace inclusion and diversity. A daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards, including greeting members, providing fast and friendly service, and maintaining club standards, is expected. Understanding business performance and the impact of consistent execution is also important.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

- Prior tire installation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
- Properly installing tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
- Properly disposing of tires.
- Completing necessary tire bay documentation for sales and service orders.
- Maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
- Merchandising tire displays and automotive products.
- Providing knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
- Coordinating with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
- Maintaining an accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Understanding and appropriately utilizing available special-order tire programs.
- Complying with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Properly utilizing tire bay equipment.
- Filling propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Ensuring a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
- Delivering service excellence through all points of contact.
- Resolving and de-escalating to address every member concern.
- Working as a team to achieve goals.
