The Tire Technician I is responsible for changing primarily passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden tires. This role involves performing tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels. The technician will remove or replace mounted tire assemblies from vehicles, recognize repairable tires, and properly perform repairs while discarding those that are not repairable. Communication of all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders, and/or invoices is essential. All tasks must be performed in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing provided safety equipment. Daily maintenance of tools and equipment, as well as reviewing service work orders for complete information, are also key responsibilities. The role requires a willingness to prioritize customer satisfaction and flexibility to adapt to changing job priorities due to customer needs. The technician will operate various equipment including lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipment.
