About The Position

GCR is a leading provider of Off-The-Road and Mining tires and service across the country, known for its extensive experience, expertise, and commitment to safety and efficiency in mining mobility solutions. GCR operates 9 Stores, 2 Bandag Retread Plants, and 5 Off-The-Road Tire Repair Facilities in 5 states, and manages tire programs at remote mine locations. The company is a U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, the world's largest tire and rubber company, which develops, manufactures, and markets a wide range of tires and is involved in retreading operations, air springs, roofing materials, and industrial fibers. Bridgestone Americas also operates the world's largest chain of automotive tire and service centers. The Tire Technician 1 role involves performing various tire services and repairs on customer vehicles, requiring physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move tires weighing up to 250 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and demanding work conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test, physical exam, and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with automotive tires is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair as directed by the Service Manager.
  • Assist with inventory management by loading, unloading, and organizing stock.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry best practices and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
