About The Position

Moore Tires is seeking an experienced Tire Technician to join their growing, family-owned business. The ideal candidate is a hard-working, self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive vehicles and various types of equipment, including performing oil changes, brake work, suspension repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure vehicle functionality and longevity. Responsibilities also include assessing tire condition, mounting/demounting tires, examining and repairing tires, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency road calls. The technician will also be responsible for performing vehicle alignments and testing drive all vehicles repaired.

Requirements

Must meet or exceed standards set by the industry recognized trade organizations.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Must have some or limited training in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further in this area.
Valid driver’s license required.
Entry level knowledge of computer equipment and applicable software applications.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment.
Test drive all vehicles repaired.
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
Perform oil changes, brake, suspensions & other mechanical work.
Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
Assess tread levels and valve quality on tires & check wear patterns.
Mounts/demounts tires.
Ensures conformance to industry standards.
Examines and repairs tires.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Responds to emergency road calls as needed.
Perform vehicle alignments.
