About The Position

This is a full-time position with two potential tracks: Full Service and Self Service. The Full Service role involves dismounting tires, inspecting them, staging them for sales, operating a forklift, sorting and labeling tires, verifying stock, loading trucks, and managing wheel cores. The Self Service role may involve operating a forklift or loader, cleaning debris, staging cars, collecting wheels, and ensuring safety and environmental regulations are met. Both roles require maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

• Tires dis-mount experience preferred but not required
• 0+ years of warehouse-related experience for Full Service
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Basic computer skills
• Basic messages communicated orally
• May write brief messages and keep simple records
• Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved
• Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods
• Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles
• May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification beneficial

Responsibilities

• Dismount tires
• Inspect tires and notify supervisor of any damage
• Stage tires for sales
• Operate a forklift to transport wheels and tires
• Sort and place tires and labels on racks, shelves, or in bins
• Verify in-stock position on product for sales staff
• Load trucks according to the delivery schedule and perform a final check-off
• Put wheel cores in the staging area for return
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas
• Initiate and support continual improvement of quality improvement system
• Operate a forklift or loader to assist in moving cars
• Clean out debris from the tire processing area
• Work with the Loader Operator to properly stage or pull cars
• Walk the yard and collect wheels and transport to Dismantle tires
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are being met
• Wear all required PPE
• Comply with established company policies and procedures
