About The Position

Brice Equipment, LLC is seeking a Tire Service Technician for a rotational (fixed term) position in Prudhoe Bay, AK. As a subsidiary of Calista Brice, we are part of a larger family of companies focused on construction, environmental, and technical challenges. Brice Equipment provides essential services to oil, gas, and construction operations throughout Alaska, utilizing a fleet of over 400 pieces of specialized equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining equipment uptime and supporting operational needs. The position requires working onsite in Prudhoe Bay, AK, performing repairs and replacements of all types of construction-related equipment tires in both field and shop environments. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, efficient, accurate, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility with scheduling, including extended hours, varying shifts, weekends, and emergency calls, is essential due to operational demands.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year’s experience in construction equipment-related tire service required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of tire service repairs and replacements of all types of construction-related equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing work priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of previous experience as a tire service technician; equipment maintenance/repair experience is a plus.
  • Two (2) years of previous Prudhoe Bay/North Slop experience preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and replacement of all types of construction related equipment tires, ranging from light truck tires through loader tires.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions when out on field service calls.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and account for all activity through work orders.
  • Work safely and efficiently independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate well over the phone or radio directly with customers and supervisors.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and customer service is a must.
  • Complete work orders and inventory of tires and materials used during the service called.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Assist in other areas in the shop as needed.
  • Handling scrap (or take-off tires) and placing them in the designated area.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
