About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a part-time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper tire installation and repair, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. The position emphasizes delivering service excellence, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively to achieve goals. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, innovate, and adapt to changing needs, while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. A key aspect of the role involves understanding production and financial reporting for the department and recognizing the impact of consistent execution on business success.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
• Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Properly dispose of tires.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understand and appropriately utilize available special-order tire programs.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
• Fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Ensure all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Support the application of club policies, procedures and compliance.
