Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language in order to perform the various tasks of the job, including but not limited to: converse with co-workers and members of the general public; understand oral and written instructions as well as governmental regulations; respond to questions and inquiries from management and government representatives; and accurately review and complete various documents, reports and records required of the position.

Nice To Haves

2 years of tire mechanic experience.
Proficiency in diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

Removes and installs tire and rim assemblies from class 6, 7, and 8 trucks, trailers, and converter dollies.
Uses hydraulic jacks and stands to gain access to the unit and replace tire assemblies.
Operates, lifts, moves, and stores specialized equipment to maintain, inspect, and repair tires or rims.
Repairs tires outside the maintenance facility utilizing a service truck.
Inspects tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
Disposes of old tires in compliance with environmental regulations.
Mounts and dismounts tires or rims using specialized tire machines.
