About The Position

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Tire Bay Service Supervisor to manage tire bay operations at the club level. This role involves overseeing tire sales, ensuring proper installation and repairs, supervising the tire bay team, and maintaining adherence to policies and procedures. The position is full-time and offers a $1000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma and/or college degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of tires, batteries, propane tanks, and tire bay equipment required.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation and sales experience preferred.
• Level 400 certified technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises tire bay team members, ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper scheduling and staffing for the tire bay.
• Responsible for the proper installation of tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Installs, sells, and repairs tires, and is responsible for proper tire disposal and propane tank filling.
• Maintains and orders tire installation equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.
• Maintains a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, and merchandises tire displays and automotive products.
• Ensures knowledgeable service is provided at the tire desk and coordinates with the Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintains an accurate supply inventory and utilizes special-order tire programs.
• Monitors tire bay sales transactions and handles cash transactions.
• Complies with safety and cleanliness standards, manages tire bay audits and checklists.
• Oversees tire bay records retention policies and procedures.
• Ensures all TIA Certifications, Titan Certifications, and other required trainings are completed timely for tire bay team members.
• Builds working relationships with tire bay team members, motivating and empowering them for growth.
• Completes and administers performance appraisals, providing clear, constructive communication.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Ensures a safe and positive environment and experience for team members and members.
• Guarantees service excellence through all points of contact.
• Sets service standard expectations for all team members and provides support to resolve member concerns.
• Leads teams to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including stocking, promotional plans, signage, and cleanliness.
• Acquires deep knowledge of key metrics and reporting for club and department performance.
• Drives performance and profitability by using reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
• Identifies and corrects process breakdowns before they negatively impact performance.
• Communicates the connection between operational performance and financial targets to the team.
