About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves being a team member, an expert in tire and battery services, leveraging digital tools, taking ownership of tasks, and acting as a talent ambassador for the brand.

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentoring new technicians.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, and process transactions.
  • Work hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory, auditing safety and compliance standards, reporting complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, ensuring merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored according to company policies.
  • Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate by valuing the members' experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Develop, influence, and inspire others by working in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented manner.
  • Understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
