About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets member expectations. This role involves leveraging digital tools, operating Point of Sale systems, and assisting members with purchasing decisions and resolving issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, completing required documentation, and ensuring merchandise is packaged and stored correctly. The position requires a commitment to company policies, ethical standards, and a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests.
  • Educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Utilize digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the TBC Lead.
  • Track and monitor returns and special orders.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions.
  • Work hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Audit safety and compliance standards.
  • Report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify member needs and assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate by valuing the members' experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
