About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations. You will leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. You will operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory, audit safety, and compliance standards. You will also identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns. You will be a brand advocate by valuing the members experience in the TBC area and modeling high quality service and products. You will also help develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented, understanding the roadblocks and assisting in training team members. You will comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans. You will complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, and determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests.
  • Educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
  • Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales and improve the service experience.
  • Utilize hand-held technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, and product application.
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead.
  • Track and monitor returns and special orders.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions.
  • Work hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Audit safety and compliance standards.
  • Report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify member needs and assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns.
