This role is for a Tipset Operator on the 1st Shift, working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to inspect the product under a microscope.
  • Ability to brush and blow off product.
  • Ability to scan production information into the system.
  • Ability to perform press setup and operate the press.
  • Understanding of all safety procedures.
  • Ability to handle deviations from routine.
  • Ability to follow control plans and ensure product is processed according to routings and specifications.
  • Ability to verify product quantity and style.
  • Ability to work to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Ability to communicate safety, quality, or product issues.
  • Ability to run orders by due date.
  • Ability to follow Press Setup Sheet and Inspection Standards.
  • Ability to inspect and modify tooling as required.
  • Ability to solve moderate to complex problems using learned knowledge of insert style, production processes, and coordination with technical experts.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing clean, quality product and assembling into proper sintering heats.
  • Selecting the sequence of orders to build heats according to the open furnace schedule.
  • Working within standard procedures while being aware of unique batch requirements.
  • Ensuring the product is processed according to the proper specifications.
  • Verifying that the quantity and style of the product are correct.
  • Inspecting the product under a microscope to determine the necessary steps to remove loose powder and flashing.
  • Brushing and blowing off one side of the product, then flipping it onto foam trays to clean the opposite side.
  • Returning the product to a clean tray and building heats to be sintered.
  • Scanning the correct production information into the system.
  • Scanning into the furnace build once the process is complete.
  • Performing press setup and operating the press as needed.
  • Demonstrating commitment to working safely and understanding all safety procedures.
  • Handling deviations from routine according to established operating procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Following the green insert control plan, ensuring the product is processed according to proper routings and specifications.
  • Working to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Communicating any safety, quality, or product issues with the supervisor, team members, and across shifts.
