About The Position

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. This is an onsite position. The Timekeeping Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s time and attendance processes within the ADP/Workday Time Management system. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of employee work hours, leave, and attendance data to support payroll processing, compliance, and operational effectiveness. Serving as the primary owner of the ADP process, the incumbent acts as the first point of contact for timekeeping inquiries, manages requests through Zendesk, researches and resolves discrepancies, performs payroll rules and system testing. The role requires a strong understanding of U.S. payroll and timekeeping rules to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations and accurate payroll outcomes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, human resources administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum one to two years of ADP Time Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. payroll and timekeeping practices, including overtime calculations, leave administration, and wage-and-hour compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience in a large, multi-site organization.
  • Knowledge of FLSA and state wage-and-hour regulations.
  • Experience using Zendesk or a similar ticket management system.
  • Experience performing payroll or timekeeping system testing and validation.
  • Experience supporting Payroll, HR, or Shared Services operations through Zendesk.
  • Experience serving as a timekeeping subject matter expert.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter resource for ADP Time Management.
  • Manage and prioritize employee and manager inquiries received through Zendesk and meet established service levels.
  • Monitor, maintain, and audit employee time and attendance records for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Research and resolve missed punches, pay code issues, schedule variances, leave transactions, and overtime exceptions.
  • Prepare and validate timekeeping data for payroll processing.
  • Apply and validate U.S. payroll and timekeeping rules, including overtime, shift premiums, and pay code usage.
  • Perform system testing and validation for payroll rules, policy updates, system enhancements, and configuration changes.
  • Document testing results and partner with Timekeeping manager and Requirement Analyst to resolve issues.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute timekeeping reports.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and resolution notes within Zendesk.
  • Escalate complex system, payroll, or compliance issues to the Timekeeping Supervisor.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased operational efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and comply with data privacy requirements.
