About The Position

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, the Timbers Server helps create memorable guest experiences through warm, attentive service and teamwork. At Timbers Café, the role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages, preparing coffee drinks, serving pastries, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment. The server may also assist as a steward and support other team needs as assigned. The position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work takes place in a casino environment that may expose team members to secondhand smoke.

Requirements

Must retain a valid food handler’s card.
Must have a valid OLCC service permit and working knowledge of OLCC regulations.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass and remain compliant with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug-free workplace policies.
Ability to follow written instructions.
Clear and positive communication with guests and teammates.
Self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure, including when handling stressful situations or upset people.
Ability to stand for extended periods; walk frequently; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Occasional sitting is required.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer service experience preferred.
One year of cash handling and cash register experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly space for guests and coworkers, and report safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit.
Take and enter orders accurately and promptly in the POS system; handle payments, comps, and coupons.
Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring orders are accurate, fresh, and well presented.
Help guests make selections by sharing knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
Prepare coffee drinks and serve items from the pastry case consistently and carefully.
Keep café and dining areas clean, tidy, and inviting; bus tables and transport soiled dishes to the dish area as needed.
Restock preparation and wait stations.
Clean and sanitize work areas, including counters, floors, and walls.
Follow dress code and personal hygiene standards.
Provide “Million Dollar Service” and help guests and coworkers feel valued.
Support steward duties when needed.
Check food quality and plate presentation and request a re-fire when an item does not meet standards.
Provide other support to the team as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
