As a Line Cook, you bring the chef's vision to life by preparing delicious dishes with precision, consistency, and care. Whether on the Timber's hot line or pantry, you help create memorable dining experiences by following recipes, mastering technique, and maintain the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must obtain a current Food Handler's Card.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
  • You'll need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when we are busy.
  • In this role, you'll I be required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally sit.
  • It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people.
  • Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.

  • One (1) year prior experience as a full-service line cook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Maintain proper par levels of food items in assigned cooking areas to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Store and handle all products in full compliance with Oregon Food Safety regulations.
  • Execute chef-driven specials with precision and creativity.
  • Cook menu items to order using a variety of equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, steam tables, and other specialized tools as needed.
  • Assist the expeditor in final plating to guarantee presentation standards are met.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, with direct responsibility for maintaining a sanitary workstation during and after shifts.
  • Support stewarding functions when needed to contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness.
  • Assist with prep duties for the main kitchen as directed.
  • Complete and maintain accurate temperature logs and food transfer documentation.
  • Perform recipe conversions and adjustments as required.
  • Properly use, clean, and maintain all equipment within assigned stations.
  • Prep, stock, and replenish items as needed to support continuous service throughout the shift.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
