About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a TIG Welder for their Solar/Luna team. This position requires TIG welding experience and the ability to pass a TIG Weld Test. The role offers an excellent schedule with a WIN Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off, resulting in only 7 workdays in a 14-day period with multiple extended breaks each month. This predictable schedule is designed for better work-life balance and harmony. The successful candidate will assemble and weld parts and/or frames to print specifications and self-inspect the finished product. They will also need to reflect and embrace Vertiv’s Values and Behaviors.

Requirements

• TIG welding experience required
• Must pass our TIG Weld Test
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and weld parts and/or frames to print specifications and self-inspect finished product.
• Align and clamp workpieces together, using rules, squares, or hand tools, or position items in fixtures, jigs, or vises.
• Clean workpieces to remove dirt or excess acid, using chemical solutions, files, wire brushes, or grinders.
• MIG or TIG along adjoining edges of workpieces using appropriate equipment.
• Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools.
• Examine seams for defects and rework defective joints or broken parts.
