About The Position

The TIG Welder joins the welding department in a clean, collaborative manufacturing environment. This full-time role involves completing production welding tasks using engineering blueprints, layouts, and sketches, preparing and positioning metal parts, and maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly work area. The position may require overtime. Offers are contingent on a successful background investigation, a pre-employment drug test, and proof of authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform TIG welding tasks.
Ability to read blueprints, technical layouts, and sketches.
Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
Knowledge and experience using manual and power hand tools.
Ability to use manual arc, wire, and MIG welders.
Familiarity with fixtures, jigs, clamps, and other positioning devices.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work overtime if required.

Nice To Haves

Welding certification or experience is desirable.
Heli-Arc weld experience is a plus.
Familiarity with a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Weld metal parts together using blueprints, layouts, and sketches provided by the Engineering department.
Lay out metal, set up work, and tack parts in accordance with welding blueprints and other instructions before welding.
Fit pipe and weld flanges.
Use fixtures, jigs, clamps, and other positioning devices commonly used in welding.
Use power and hand tools as required to complete production welding tasks.
Perform user maintenance on machines and equipment.
Maintain a neat, clean, orderly, and functional work area.
Check the work area for compliance with safety rules and standards, and promptly report unsafe or noncompliant issues to the Team Lead or Operations Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
