About The Position

Aether Aerospace, a Defense Technology platform formed by JHNA, CTSi, and EXPANSIA, is seeking a full-time TIG Welder for its Hollywood, MD location. This role is crucial for delivering high-impact technologies, technology-enabled services, and advanced manufacturing solutions to U.S. Department of Defense and national security customers. The company is backed by Falfurrias Management Partners and combines deep domain expertise across various defense sectors with advanced manufacturing capabilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing TIG weld methods, interpreting blueprints, and must be able to obtain a government clearance. A good understanding of welding applications is essential.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
• High School Diploma/GED
• 3 Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder
• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required

Nice To Haves

• Current and valid certification(s) a plus.
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG weld methods based on project requirements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
