About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring an experienced Precision TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in North Salt Lake, Utah. The role involves precision TIG welding of light-gauge stainless steel, specifically 18–20 gauge material, and producing work that meets customer, company, and blueprint standards. The position works a swing shift Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, on a four-day, 10-hour schedule. The posting describes a 10% swing-shift differential and weekly pay. Requirements

• At least 2 years of Precision TIG Welding experience.
• Strong blueprint-reading and interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
• Ability to consistently produce precise, high-quality welds.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• English proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a welding apprenticeship program.
• AWS Welding Certification or other professional welding certifications.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld light-gauge stainless steel, specifically 18–20 gauge material.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, schematics, and job specifications.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet customer and company standards.
• Inspect and test welds for quality and compliance.
• Verify finished work meets blueprint tolerances and specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area.
• Work with engineering and production teams to resolve welding-related issues.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Document completed work and report defects or concerns as needed.
