About The Position

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our Robesonia manufacturing team. In this role, you will weld, fabricate, fit, finish, and assemble industrial sheet metal components used in the manufacture of commercial food equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication experience, can accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished work. Success in this position requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience welding and finishing stainless steel sheet metal
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and weld symbols
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, fitting, and finishing
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and verify work against required specifications
  • Strong attention to weld appearance, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy
  • Understanding of safe welding and fabrication practices
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a manufacturing team
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, reliability, and craftsmanship

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG, MIG, and spot welding on stainless steel and other sheet metal components
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and weld symbols
  • Cut, grind, drill, bend, fit, and finish sheet metal components
  • Produce high-quality welds and finished surfaces appropriate for sanitary food-equipment applications
  • Set up, adjust, and safely operate welding and sheet metal fabrication equipment
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, fit, and finished quality
  • Inspect completed work for weld quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications
  • Identify and correct fabrication, fit-up, or weld-quality issues
  • Complete required production, quality, and manufacturing documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all required PPE, OSHA, plant safety, sanitation, and manufacturing procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve welding, fabrication, quality, safety, and production processes
  • Assist with training and share welding and fabrication best practices with team members as needed
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and other team members to resolve fabrication, fit, or assembly issues
