About The Position

We are currently hiring skilled TIG / Stick Welders for industrial shutdown projects. As a TIG / Stick Welder, you will perform TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel pipe systems on an industrial shut down project. This project is 5/10-hour shifts with $120 per day per diem ($600 per week). All candidates are required to have current welding certifications and successfully pass a basic onsite weld test.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience as a TIG / Stick Welder in industrial environments
• Current welding certifications required
• Ability to successfully pass a basic weld test onsite
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Strong attention to detail and weld quality
• Ability to travel to Ione, CA and work extended shifts

Nice To Haves

• Previous plant shutdown or turnaround experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel piping systems
• Weld 6-inch gas line pipe and other pipe systems as required
• Prepare, fit, and weld pipe joints according to project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and welding procedures
• Inspect welds for quality, proper penetration, and compliance with project standards
• Perform grinding, cleaning, beveling, and other weld preparation as needed
