About The Position

Your Role The Tidal Administration & Support (TAS) Team develops, manages, administers, and provides oversight of the Tidal batch orchestration and scheduler ecosystem. The Tidal Administrator, Senior will report to the Senior Manager, Service Management & Operations Team. In this role, you will blend full-stack engineering, automation, and systems operations to ensure that our Tidal platforms and services are resilient, efficient, and continuously improving. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and incident response. Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Requires at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Requires working knowledge and proficiency in MS SQL and Tidal database schema

Nice To Haves

  • Highly prefer at least 2 years of experience with Tidal 6.5.x
  • Highly prefer at least 2 years of experience with batch job development, scripts and code improvements using Ansible, Python, C, PowerShell, Bash, MSFT SQL, Tidal REST API
  • Highly prefer experience with Tidal Workload Automation upgrade / patching processes
  • Highly prefer at least 2 years direct experience administering a 24x7 Tidal Production environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in virtual machines (VMs), containers, cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM), monitoring, storage, and serverless functions
  • Ability to set up dashboards in Digital.AI, ServiceNow, Tableau for reporting metrics
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Grid, Jira, ServiceNow, and general corporate applications
  • Working knowledge of tools such as BigPanda, Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK Stack, etc. is preferred
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo CD, Spinnaker is preferred
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling and orchestration platforms across all environments, and ensure promotion of batch jobs align with change management services
  • Support and maintain the Tidal Workload Automation (formerly known as Tidal Enterprise Scheduler) environments
  • Perform triaging and resolution of L1 support tasks and escalation to appropriate L2/L3 teams according to priority and impact
  • Develop, test, and implement scripts and jobs, adhering to standards and best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Provide support and guidance to users for best practices and product features
  • Produce / develop reports for metrics and trend analysis
  • Proactively identify issues and bottlenecks to ensure environment stability
  • Implement continuous service improvement focusing on automation
  • Tune and tweak job catalogs for improved performance
  • Improve the reliability and utilization of systems and applications
  • Monitor software configuration changes to anticipate and address the impact of data reliability and customer satisfaction issues
