The Office of Undergraduate Education seeks a passionate, committed professional to join one of the Thrive@Carolina Campus Hubs, comprised of individuals dedicated to providing student-centered, holistic and seamlessly delivered support to students from acceptance through graduation. Reporting to an Assistant Director, Thrive Advisors provide direct student support to an assigned caseload of students as they unlock their potential, activate their plans, secure their opportunities and build their community. During each academic year, Thrive Advisors will also teach up to 4 sections of a 1-credit hour course, First-Year Thriving, and therefore will need to meet the minimum SACS Accreditation requirements for instruction. Hubs staff bring positive energy and a collaborative mindset to their everyday work, partnering with campus staff, faculty and one another to eliminate barriers to student success and ensure all students thrive. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the liberal arts, a keen understanding and appreciation of utilizing an intersectional framework to support students and demonstrated experience maximizing student engagement through highly effective communications and programming.
