About The Position

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions can be found below. Our Facilities Associates may be assigned to the following tasks: Unloading and loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, and janitorial duties. The Facilities Associate position is labor intensive. Our Production Associates may be assigned to the following tasks: Pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor. Our Sales Floor Associates may be assigned to the following roles: Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant. Other available positions include: Box Truck Driver, Dispatcher, and Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to safely and effectively perform essential job functions
  • Ability to meet both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40-70 lbs
  • Ability to frequently exert up to 25 lbs. of force
  • Ability to constantly apply negligible force when handling objects
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Proficient in performing repetitive motions
  • Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands
  • Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
  • Capable of maintaining balance when performing agile tasks
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and busy environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a bright environment
  • Regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers
  • High degree of flexibility; may be asked to switch tasks or departments based on operational needs
