About The Position

Responsible for granulation, drying, cooling and sifting of granular Threonine in preparation for packaging, which includes operating the production process and equipment using computer software, collecting and processing samples, inspecting equipment and performing troubleshooting or repair as necessary.

Willing to cross-train into other areas; ensure conformance to standard work by following the process
Must be able to wear full-face respirator and protective equipment for testing.
Minimal facial hair in order to ensure proper fit of respirator in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Must complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing.

Responsibilities

Control the mixing and granulation of threonine prior to drying
Monitor threonine dryer and cooler temperatures, differential pressures and air flow to ensure final product is within specifications
Ensure sifter and crusher operation is efficient by scraping sifter screens as scheduled
Inspect equipment and area for cleanliness and normal operating conditions
Collect samples and perform testing to verify the final product moisture content, product color and particle size are within specifications
Perform confined space entry in order to Clean In Place (CIP) all equipment as needed
Monitor and operate the assigned process using HMI control software
Accurately and legibly record process and sample data
Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
