Sigma Defense is seeking a Threat Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a technical and operational authority on threat systems, threat representation, and their application within the test and training community. This position requires a deep-rooted background within the Intelligence Community (IC), combined with a strong understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, threat effects, threat characteristics, and the methods used to accurately represent those threats in operational test and training environments. The SME will serve as a critical liaison between customers requesting threat support and the organizations responsible for developing, providing, or operating the required threat representations. A key component of this role is the ability to work with customers who may understand their operational objective but may not know precisely what threat capability, representation, or technical solution is required. The SME must be able to translate ambiguous or incomplete requirements into clearly defined technical solutions and guide those requirements from initial concept through coordination, development, integration, and final delivery. Success in this position requires more than technical expertise. The Threat Systems SME must be able to understand the customer's operational objective, determine what is technically required to achieve it, and bring together the appropriate intelligence, engineering, threat, test, and training organizations to deliver an effective solution. The individual serves as the connective element between customer intent, intelligence-based threat understanding, technical threat representation, and final execution. The ability to turn an unclear requirement into a technically credible and executable threat solution is a defining responsibility of this role.
