This is a contingent position based upon contract award KBR is seeking a Threat Analyst - Junior, to support the identification, assessment, and reporting of potential threats to space assets and operations. This role involves monitoring data sources, analyzing indicators of adversarial activity, and assisting in the development of threat assessments under the guidance of senior analysts. The analyst will collaborate with mission operations and intelligence teams to maintain situational awareness and provide timely updates during critical events. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured processes in a dynamic environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in space domain awareness and threat analysis. This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility and is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise, OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise, OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Foundational knowledge of space operations, threat analysis, or intelligence principles.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools or data visualization platforms.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with space domain awareness or intelligence analysis in a government or commercial setting.
  • Exposure to adversarial threat modeling or counterspace capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and collect data from multiple sources to identify potential threats to space systems.
  • Assist in analyzing indicators of adversarial activity and emerging technologies that may impact space operations.
  • Support the development of threat assessments and risk reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain situational awareness of global space activities and provide timely updates during critical events.
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in operational readiness exercises and post-event analysis.
  • Coordinate with mission operations and intelligence teams to validate threat information.
  • Contribute to process improvements and tool enhancements for threat analysis workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with established security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing briefings and presentations for leadership and external partners
