About The Position

The Threadline Attendant shall operate and assist in the function of pipe threading in accordance with plant policies and procedures. He/she will ensure a safe and compliant operation during his/her shift.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time.
  • Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
  • Ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience or on the job training
  • Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures
  • Knowledge of the threading processes, procedures, and technical instruments

Responsibilities

  • Report to immediate supervisor for briefing on daily tasks.
  • Follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
  • Provide and assist with good maintenance on the equipment he/she is operating.
  • Maintain good housekeeping ethics; work area must be free and clear of debris.
  • Assist in the verification and recording of production and findings in the ERP System and/or required documents.
  • Responsible for the production of prime threads in conformance to the required specification.
  • Produce a product that meets the required specifications throughout the first and last article of the threading process.
  • Assist in clean-up, repair and replacement of equipment during maintenance shutdowns.
  • Communicate with Threading Supervisor any concerns or questions to achieve a quality product.
  • Assist with changeovers.
  • Assist with documentation and/or technical devices for recording production and findings.
  • Communicate to Supervisor any problems with material and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
