About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and troubleshooting single and multi-blow cold heading machines. The operator will ensure parts are made to print, perform preventative maintenance, inspect and repair tooling, and make adjustments to machinery to ensure quality. The position also involves safely operating a lift truck and training less experienced operators.

Requirements

Advanced ability to operate and troubleshoot the single and multi-blow cold heading machines.
Ability to read blueprints proficiently.
Must be able to repair / maintain all tool and dies.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Detailed oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.
Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations.
Positive Attitude.

Lift truck license preferred.

Responsibilities

Abides by all Safety practices put forth by the company.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Operates and troubleshoots single and multi-blow cold heading machines.
Reads blueprints proficiently.
Completes preventative maintenance (PM) plan prior to and after tooling changes.
Ensures parts are made to print and tooling is received to print.
Inspects tooling and setup.
Repairs and maintains all tool and dies.
Performs adjustments on machinery to assure a quality part is being made.
Safely operates a lift truck.
Loads coils onto spool rack.
Trains and mentors lower level less experienced operators.
Performs other duties as assigned.
