About The Position

The Thought Leader Liaison, Neuroscience is a field-based strategic role within the Neuroscience Commercial team responsible for executing Ipsen’s Key Thought Leader (KTL) engagement strategy at the regional level. This role translates national priorities into regional execution and serves as a key connector across Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Value & Access teams. The position focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with established and emerging thought leaders, generating actionable market insights, and driving advocacy for Ipsen’s Neuroscience portfolio across Adult Spasticity, Cervical Dystonia, Pediatric Spasticity, and future anticipated indications such as Migraine. TLL engagements will gain market insights, assess impact of new and emerging clinical data in the disease landscape, uncover marketing collaboration opportunities, and foster productive KTL relationships to advance advocacy for the IPSEN Neuroscience Portfolio. The TLL team will effectively communicate the brand story to KTLs and identify strategic partnerships with the aim of creating advocates for our brands at large practices and major institutions throughout the US in the assigned regions. This role serves as a liaison between home office departments, field-based colleagues and health care professionals (HCPs) who are leaders in their respective fields. To be successful: the TLL team members will build close working relationships with, but not limited to: National Sales Directors, Regional Business Directors, Neuroscience Specialty Representatives, Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing teams, and Value & Access teams to ensure alignment on broader business objectives in their assigned regions. TLL interactions are on-label and consistent with commercial compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with strong experience in marketing, customer-facing, or external engagement roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex KTL relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills; ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization; strong presentation skills required
  • Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to deliver against defined KPIs such as KTL engagement quality, insight generation, and program effectiveness
  • Ability to operate comfortably within a highly regulated and compliant environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with key external stakeholders and actively represent the company, brand teams, and discuss key therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve key milestones and business objectives working with colleagues with (and without) direct authority
  • Ability to travel as the role has significant geographic areas of responsibility as well as coverage of national and regional conferences/programs

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in neuroscience and/or the neurotoxin space strongly preferred, along with existing relationships with key thought leaders
  • Launch experience and experience working across regional field teams preferred
  • Prior engagement with professional societies and academic institutions is advantageous
  • Reside in close proximity to a major airport

Responsibilities

  • Executing the regional KTL engagement strategy in alignment with national priorities; includes building and maintaining relationships with key regional and national thought leaders across major institutions and large practices, as well as identifying and developing emerging leaders
  • Drive advocacy for Ipsen’s Neuroscience portfolio through high-value, compliant engagements
  • Consistent generation of actionable field insights, including identifying trends in treatment decision-making, competitive dynamics, and access or reimbursement challenges; and translating insights into clear recommendations for cross-functional partners and used to inform both regional and national strategy
  • Lead execution of regional strategic programs, including advisory boards, consulting engagements, regional KTL meetings, and peer-to-peer programs
  • Execute pre-, during-, and post-congress engagement plans, ensuring all activities are delivered with high quality and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support execution of national congress strategies at the regional level and coordinates closely with Marketing, Medical, and Sales teams to ensure aligned engagement plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key professional societies, including the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Headache Society (AHS), and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R).
  • Execute regional strategy for residency and fellowship engagement and support development of Centers of Excellence; including partnering with field teams to expand Dysport education and identifying priority accounts for deeper engagement
  • Serve as cross-functional leader within the region, partnering closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Sales leadership
  • Ensures consistent communication and coordination while maintaining alignment between national strategy and regional execution.
