As a Third Party Liability Specialist in the Department of Human Services, you will take on meaningful work that helps recover funds and uphold accountability. Requirements

Four years of technical experience collecting, reviewing, or evaluating information for program eligibility or insurance limits of liability; or A bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
You must meet the PA residency requirement.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Analyze referrals and determine whether benefits were issued incorrectly
Collect information from attorneys, insurers, providers, and other parties to support claim decisions
Interpret state and federal laws to guide claim analysis and determine responsible parties
Discuss cases with interested parties and recommend fair settlement amounts
Maintain accurate case files and document important updates for future reference
Access and interpret information in electronic systems to support claim assessments
