About The Position
Performs all duties related to the preparation, completion, submission (electronic and paper) and collection of insurance claims to all Third Party Carriers.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Thorough knowledge of UBO4 Hospital Billing forms.
- Cognizant of the use of UBO4 coding in reference to understanding and interpreting claim coding guidelines and requirements.
- Complete understanding of the 1500 Physician billing form relative to the preparation, coding, and interpretation of information in billing claims.
- Knowledgeable of the use of CPT-4 and HCPCS coding and modifier usage.
- Knowledgeable of guidelines and requirements for eligibility, coverage and benefits and claim submission practices for all government programs (Medicare, Medicaid and Champus).
- Knowledge of basic billing specifications for BCBS and commercial insurance carriers.
- At least 2 years' experience in a hospital or medical business office relating to patient account functions.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
