This will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division located at our Magna, Utah facility.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to learn the skills and demonstrate the aptitude to safely and efficiently perform rocket motor finishing operations including installation of igniters, nozzles, bracketry, perform pressurized leak tests and finishing operations to tight tolerances and exacting expectations.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment associated with the finishing operations.
  • Ability to read, clearly interpret, and accurately follow procedures, standard work instructions, engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Certify to and sustain all Quality Manufacturing-to-Inspect (MTI) requirements associated with the area
  • Complete and sustain sound proficiencies in all required training, including skill based training
  • Ability to learn the skills and demonstrate the aptitude to safely and efficiently perform rocket motor moves with cranes, hand pallet jacks, and other powered equipment used in the area
  • Perform safe and competent operation of all hand tools, powered tools, tooling, powered equipment, lifting equipment, overhead cranes and other equipment utilized in area
  • As part of a handling team, demonstrate understanding and ability to safely perform spotting operations and execute directions of move director
  • May assist less experienced co-workers in acquiring the skills and experiences to fully function in the work area
  • Effectively and constructively communicate with leadership, coworkers and support team members as needed
  • Participates in PES improvement activities, process/procedure improvements and standard work instructions to improve the work area
  • Participates in SIS activities, hazard abatements, OP-E, Take Two, etc.
  • Demonstrate the initiative and ability to become knowledgeable and proficient in area processes as directed
  • Work to enhance personal safety, quality, cost and scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Primary assignment for this position is in Finishing Building 3 performing activities and tasks associated with final processing of rocket motors and components, motor disassembly, Motor handling and shipping processes.
  • Ability to learn the skills and demonstrate the aptitude to safely and efficiently perform rocket motor finishing operations including installation of igniters, nozzles, bracketry, perform pressurized leak tests and finishing operations to tight tolerances and exacting expectations.
