A Thin Films Production Specialist must demonstrate a safety-first work routine, have a proficient understanding of the associated technical aspects of their assigned process and the ability to work with process engineering or management to resolve production issues. The individual needs to be able to coordinate workflow with co-workers and effectively communicate cross functionally and train or cross train as required. The individual in this position will perform a variety of tasks in support of the optical and metal coating processes and inspections where they will be expected to perform the processes, rely on moderate experience and judgement to plan and accomplish tasks, solve problems, adapt new procedures, and act as a resource for others under minimal supervision. 1st Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm in Goleta, California. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 1 years combined or related photolithography or optical deposition experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

Experience with deposition or photolithography equipment with the ability to maintain all ESD, Safety, and security protocols
Experience in Microsoft Office and production tracking systems
Ability to work safely with various deposition processing equipment, chemicals, and raw production materials in a lab setting with basic gowning requirements
Interpersonal communication skills and rigorous attention to detail, receiving and providing cross training efforts
Understanding of FOD and FOD reduction methods and concerns

Responsibilities

Cleaning of optics and maintenance of chambers
Source preparation and deposition of coatings in chambers
Photolithography, measurements, defect mapping, and packaging.
Critical metrology like spectral evaluation, metal thickness, and wafer flatness
Cross functional communication and teamwork to track WIP, move production, and address production issues in a timely manner
