About The Position

As a Texas Instruments Equipment Engineer in Thin Films, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team oriented environment. You will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. This role also involves overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues, studying equipment performance and reliability, establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process, providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations, and defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Equipment Engineer in Thin Films
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and order appropriate and cost-effective equipment
  • Skills in overseeing installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
  • Ability to study equipment performance and reliability
  • Capability to establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems
  • Experience providing technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
  • Proficiency in defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules
