At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. We are currently seeking a Thin Film Technician who will operate coating chamber systems to produce coated optical components.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Typically has a minimum of 3+ year optics experience or related industry experience and has demonstrated tech 2 expectations since last review.
Needs to be proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
Needs to have a knowledge base of Excel and other various Microsoft Office products.
Lifting requirements up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

Understands and promotes a safe environment.
Sets up tooling (installs spacers/tooling as needed) (help assembles backers) (knows how to locate tooling).
Load/unload parts into chambers as needed.
Understands chemicals that are used throughout the lab and how to dispose of them.
Foils chambers
Changes targets
Performs basic spectrophotometer scans of optical components
Performs regens
Bead blasts tooling
Starts coating runs
Knows the chamber status of their area
Can perform simple crystal error recoveries
Performs and supports 6S activities as directed.
Knows chamber cleanliness and how it affects quality.
Works effectively within teams
Other duties as assigned
