About The Position
Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Thin Film Operator II – Lapping who will be responsible for visual inspection of capacitors, substrates, and custom parts. The role involves machine lapping and polishing, data entry using Microsoft Excel, and micrometer and drop gauge usage. The operator will handle various materials, maintain measurement accuracy, and perform detailed visual inspections under a microscope to identify and remove defective parts. Packing of products is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six (6) months of microscope experience
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a visual inspector
- Experience using tweezer to inspect minuscule parts
Responsibilities
- Machine Lapping and Polishing.
- Data entry using Microsoft Excel.
- Micrometer and drop gauge usage.
- Handle and transport various materials such as alumina oxide/polishing powders, solvents, wax adhesives.
- Maintain 100% measurement accuracy while performing thickness verification.
- Visual inspection of parts one by one under a microscope to remove defective parts that do not meet specified criteria.
- Packing products using microscope, tweezers, and gloves.
