Thin Film Coating Technician 1
About The Position
As a Coating Technician 1 at MKS Inc., you will partner with Operations to produce thin film coatings in various vacuum chambers. In this role, you will report to the Filters Unit Production Manager. Requirements
- Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required
- 0 - 1 year of related experience required
- Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems
- Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
Nice To Haves
- Thin film coating experience
- Experience operating vacuum chambers
- Computer literate - experience with Excel
Responsibilities
- Operating various coating chambers per the production schedule
- Maintaining detailed and accurate process records
- Performing single & multilayer coatings on glass substrates
- Communicating effectively with team members and across different functions of the business
- Cleaning and Inspecting parts both before and after deposition process
- Working with coating team and Engineering to improve coating yield, efficiency and chamber up-time
