About The Position
This position is specialized around knife skills, specifically using a whizard knife and straight knife scissors, while working safely and adhering to Tyson’s policies and procedures. The role requires physical exertion including bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and across, using repetitive motion, carrying up to 50 pounds, and standing for a minimum of 9 hours daily. The work environment involves routine exposure to adverse temperatures (cold, 20-40° F), damp, and wet conditions. This position is primarily for current team members at this facility or complex, with a process for those transferring from other Tyson facilities.
Requirements
- Must be a team member currently working at this facility or complex
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation (bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, carrying up to 50 pounds, and standing for a minimum of 9 hours daily)
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment
- Be able to pass a background check if required for the role
- Hourly applicants must complete the task after submitting their application to provide additional information to be considered for employment
