About The Position

Picture the start of your evening at a spotless, climate-controlled manufacturing plant in Champaign. The floor hums softly as production ramps up, and you take the helm of advanced molding equipment—keeping everything running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Plastipak is a strong company in a stable industry, and we’re growing our Champaign team to meet increased demand. Your night in this role Run and oversee extrusion, injection, or blow-molding machines and related equipment. Dial in critical parameters—heat settings, water cooling temperatures, and hydraulic pressures—to maintain quality and throughput. Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep machines production-ready. Inspect finished goods for quality and consistency. Participate in ongoing training to expand your technical skills. Requirements

Ability to work a 12 hour shift on our 3-2-2-3 regular schedule cycle with every other weekend off.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a high-volume production environment.
Minimum of 1 year of experience operating manufacturing machines & equipment.
Basic hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical knowledge.
Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
