About The Position

Cardinal Systems Inc. is one of the nation's largest technologically advanced manufacturers of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications. The Thermoforming Machine Operator will learn the steps and stations associated with finishing a thermoformed part. They will be trained in the proper use of various hand tools needed to perform the required steps one station at a time and learn how to read and understand the procedure for each individual station. They will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their assigned workstation, the basic functions of the ERP system to be able to log in and out of a workstation, and trained on how to work safely in the department and at each individual workstation.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Will be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to work at a steady and consistent pace.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Basic understanding of demolding and load up procedures
  • Basic understanding of process and flow of the department
  • Learn how to start up, shut down, and run assigned manufacturing processing equipment
  • Operate machines at a rate which will meet scheduled production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Learn basic Global Shop procedures (clocking in & out of jobs, daily production & material transfers, checking inventory status, and completing daily tasks
  • Develop an understanding of product knowledge to perform quality checks on parts
  • Learn how to knowledgably read prints/documents
  • Gain understanding of the process and flow of the department
  • Monitor and review the existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their assigned workstation
  • Responsible for the basic functions of the ERP system to be able to log in and out of a workstation
  • Trained on how to work safely in the department and at each individual workstation
