About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on professional to support our manufacturing operations through the application of thermal spray coatings on a variety of components. In this role, you will help prepare surfaces, operate specialized equipment, and ensure each part meets strict quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions, drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools and production equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new processes.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as needed, and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in thermal spray, coating application, machining, manufacturing, or related industrial work is a plus.
  • Experience with HVOF, plasma, arc spray, flame spray, or related coating processes.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation methods such as grit blasting and masking techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools, including micrometers, gauges, and thickness measurement equipment.
  • Prior experience working in aerospace, automotive, energy, or industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts and surfaces for thermal spray application through cleaning, masking, grit blasting, and related prep work.
  • Set up and operate thermal spray equipment in accordance with job specifications and process requirements.
  • Apply coatings consistently to meet dimensional, performance, and appearance standards.
  • Inspect finished parts for coating quality, coverage, thickness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and inspection criteria.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues, defects, or process deviations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and safety guidelines.
  • Document production details, inspection results, and any required quality records.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to support production goals.
