About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Moon landers and related products. The engineer will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems, supporting the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program and working directly with NASA and National Team Partners. The position supports multiple generations of lunar landers and involves collaboration with thermal engineers, analysts, and other teams in a fast-paced, often uncertain environment. The role calls for personal leadership, technical competence, attention to detail, and commitment to safe human spaceflight. The engineer is responsible for thermal components from conception through development, testing, and integration. Work includes supporting component development, coordinating with thermal analysis, applying subsystem specifications and mission environments, producing component and test documentation, occasional thermal analysis, development planning, make-or-buy decisions, and procuring flight hardware with the supply chain team. Blue Origin describes its mission as enabling millions of people to live and work in space for the benefit of Earth and is committed to a safe, collaborative, and inclusive workplace. Applicants must meet the stated U.S. citizenship or immigration-status requirement. Background checks may apply, including additional checks for certain job profiles.
