About The Position

Lead product development and thermal design activities relevant to the design of a commercial refrigerator. This role involves optimizing designs using DFM and DFA principles, performing engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D thermal modeling, and troubleshooting using DFMEA and root cause analysis. The engineer will also be responsible for the design of heat exchangers and refrigerant piping in a refrigerator, air flow optimization and fan selection, and generating/presenting reports for design approval. Additionally, the role includes drafting and publishing internal engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Thermal/Mechanical Engineering degree (bachelor’s with 7+ years of experience or master’s with 5+ years of experience)
  • Competency with thermal/fluid flow design and analysis
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Hands-on engineering and thermal testing in conjunction with test engineers in lab
  • MS office
  • CAD
  • Proficient in English

  • Spanish is a plus
