About The Position

We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry. This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us. THE ROLE Everpure is seeking a Thermal Mechanical Engineer to lead the thermal and mechanical architecture of our DirectFlash Modules (DFMs). This person will play a key role in designing next-generation in-house solutions with minimal guidance, while also partnering with JDMs to design, test, and integrate DFMs into new storage platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in delivering high-quality designs for volume production.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in product design or a related engineering role
  • Deep expertise in thermal simulation for electronics cooling, including extensive experience with FloTHERM, Icepak, or equivalent CFD tools
  • Proven ability to perform simulation correlation with physical test data
  • Strong 3D CAD skills with Pro/ENGINEER, Creo Parametric, or equivalent tools
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal, die cast, injection-molded plastics, heat sinks, thermal interface materials, and airflow design
  • Hands-on experience with detail design, prototyping, tolerance analysis, thermal tradeoffs, and DFx
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, high-volume electronics products
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the thermal and mechanical architecture for in-house DFM designs, ensuring solutions meet aggressive performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
  • Perform advanced thermal simulations using high-fidelity CFD tools such as FloTHERM, Icepak, or equivalent to optimize airflow, heat sink design, and component temperatures.
  • Drive simulation-to-test correlation by comparing model predictions with lab data, analyzing discrepancies in temperature, airflow, and pressure drop, and refining models for improved accuracy.
  • Support system integration with ODM/JDM partners by developing detailed thermal models, reviewing slot-level aerodynamics, and ensuring successful thermal-mechanical integration into new storage systems.
  • Partner with Product Engineering on design-for-manufacturing (DFx) considerations, including tooling, material selection, and design tradeoffs for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Own the thermal-mechanical design lifecycle from concept, prototyping, and validation through sustaining engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Hardware, Product, Quality, Software, Test, Certification, and Operations teams to align deliverables with program schedules and system requirements.

Benefits

  • flexible time off
  • wellness resources
  • company-sponsored team events
