About The Position

The Therapy Aide provides essential support to our therapy team by helping maintain an organized, clean, welcoming, and well-prepared therapy environment. This role also provides administrative support to help the clinic operate efficiently and create a positive experience for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare therapy spaces and materials before scheduled sessions
  • Assist therapists with gathering, organizing, and preparing treatment materials during treatment sessions
  • Create therapy materials under the direction of therapists
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up of therapeutic activities and modalities as directed
  • Help ensure therapists have the supplies and equipment needed for sessions
  • Restock therapy materials and supplies as needed
  • Support therapists with non-clinical tasks to maximize their time with patients
  • Assist with transitions between therapy sessions when appropriate and directed
  • Assist with communication between staff, therapists and families on administrative and non-clinical topics
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming therapy spaces
  • Clean and sanitize toys, equipment and surfaces according to clinic procedures
  • Return toys, equipment, and materials to their designated locations
  • Identify and report damaged and/or missing toys and/or unsafe equipment
  • Help maintain an inviting environment for children and families
  • Support organization and upkeep of therapy gyms, treatment rooms, and shared spaces
  • Perform basic office and clerical duties as needed
  • Assist with organizing paperwork, supplies, and other administrative materials
  • Help with copying, filing, scanning, assembling materials, and other administrative tasks
  • Support front office staff with appropriate non-clinical tasks as assigned
  • Assist with special projects and clinic initiatives
  • Help maintain organization of shared clinic resources
  • Communicate effectively with therapists, administrative staff, leadership, children, and families
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all clinic privacy policies
  • Follow clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude throughout the workday
  • Be willing to assist with tasks outside of the normal routine when clinic needs change
  • Take initiative to identify ways to improve organization, efficiency, and the therapy environment
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive clinic culture
